PRESERVATION OF NATURE
The salt flats of La Concepción are a natural reserve, inhabited by a wide variety of plants and birds.
Several plant species, such as salicornia, socarrell, and seagrass meadows, have adapted to the harsh combination of wind, high salinity, rocky areas, and wetlands.
The salt flats also provide a perfect habitat for endemic birds and a safe wintering area for herons, flamingos, great cormorants and various species of ducks.
